Products are not opened at the warehouse, they are shipped straight to you after manufacturing! It is not unusual for the foam pressure seal to come up in the lid upon first opening the body butter or sea salt scrub.
If the consistency looks different than in the store, keep in mind that those products are stirred daily. Also, the formula settles differently with changes in temperature, humidity, and it may all shift to one side or the top during shipping leaving what looks like a hole or missing product. There should be an air pocket about an inch deep at the top of a 9 oz jar, and about half an inch deep at the top of a 3 oz jar.
