This is my dryer.

Last week, an electrical panel was damaged in the dryer and the repair man was here to fix it. He somehow neglected to connect the vent so once we started using the dryer, it blew out hot air and lint into the laundry room.

YUCK!

Needless to say, it inspired me to write a blog entry. When the repair man was here, he asked me if I used dryer sheets. Poor man got to hear my whole dissertation on dryer sheets.

Dryer sheets are one of the most irritating things to sensitive skin. You put them in your dryer and they toss tiny chemical fibers all over everything - your bedding, your towels and your clothing. For people with sensitive skin, these tiny chemical fibers can be extremely irritating. Some people will notice round, kind of "hot spots" if you will.

So if you're using dryer sheets, I recommend several alternatives. There are a ton of dryer balls and softeners out there that are chemical-free and for sensitive skin, this is a wonderful alternative.

If you're still using dryer sheets and have sensitive skin or noticing irritation on your skin, I suggest going to a hypo-allergenic or a fragrance free and color-free detergent and softener as well as removing the dryer sheets from your dryer and not using them at all.
